Georgia Tech is providing a FREE four-hour training, funded by a Susan Harwood Grant, on Warehouse Hazards in the Workplace for Employers and Employees. OSHA currently has a National Emphasis Program on Warehousing and Distribution Center Operations. Warehousing has a high lost claims rate and is increasingly becoming a more hazardous workplace. This course is designed for warehouse workers, warehouse supervisors and managers, and powered industrial truck operators.
This free course is offered on August 19 and again on August 20, 2026. Course will address how to prevent injury and illness due to workplace exposures in warehouses. Topics covered include:
-Recognition of safety hazards in warehousing facilities and prevention strategies,
-Powered Industrial Truck safety and responsibilities,
-Ergonomic best practices and safe material handling,
-Chemical and thermal stressor risk assessments and strategies.
